Replacement for longtime boss Wightman quits

The revolving door at the City of Vancouver keeps on revolving.

Murray Wightman, the 42-year veteran who ran City of Vancouver’s streets, traffic and electrical operations, retired in March. His replacement was District of North Vancouver’s Erik Bayfield. That is, until June 9. Below is a leaked internal memo announcing Bayfield’s departure. No reason given, but I will update as I learn more.

Erik Bayfield, Branch Manager for Streets, Traffic and Electrical Operations has resigned from his position this morning.

Ken Brown has graciously agreed to take on the acting Manager role while we work out a permanent solution.  And as such the domino effect of acting with be as follows starting tomorrow:
