Private guards to cost more than Mounties at 2010 Games?

The RCMP announced almost $130 million in spending on private security guards and surveillance equipment on April 16 while they thought we were only paying attention to the British Columbia election campaign and Stanley Cup playoffs. Expect a deal with an American-led consortium for rent-a-cops to cost more than the RCMP’s own estimate for staffing the airport-style venue checkpoints with Mounties!
